# Reviewing and editing what the AI writes

> How to edit an answer, regenerate just one, recover an earlier version from the history, and why your edits survive new runs.

In the enisa.ai workspace you can edit every answer in the draft, regenerate just one and restore any earlier version from the history — your edits are never overwritten by a new run. By the end you will have every answer reviewed and to your liking.

The AI's draft is a starting point, not a final text. You know your company better than any document does, and your reviewer will read what you send — not what the AI wrote first.

## Editing an answer

1. In the **Solicitud** tab, open the section and find the question.
2. Type directly in the editor. You will see the **character counter** against ENISA's limit (long answers are truncated at 5,000 characters in the portal, without warning).
3. Press **Guardar** (save). If you change your mind before saving, **Descartar** (discard) returns to the previous text.
4. Check the **citations** under the answer: if you claim something that is not in your documents, your reviewer — and ENISA — will ask you about it.

## Regenerating a single answer

If an answer does not convince you, press **Regenerar** on that question. The AI rewrites it from your documents without touching any other answer. The previous version is not lost: it stays in the history.

## The history: every change is recorded

The **Actividad** tab holds the application's complete record: every edit appears as a **before** and **after** comparison, with who made it and when.

To go back to an earlier version:

1. Open **Actividad** and find the change.
2. Press **Restaurar este valor** (restore this value).
3. The old value is written as a **new edit**: the history is never deleted or rewritten, so restoring leaves a trace too and you can always return to any point.

When you restore a text that was later changed, the citations and evidence label of the generated version do not carry over: they belonged to the text the AI wrote, not to the value you chose.

## Your edits survive new runs

**Volver a generar** only writes questions that have no answer. A saved answer — yours or the AI's — is never overwritten by a full run. The only way to replace it is to press **Regenerar** on that specific question, and even then the previous version stays in the history.

## Common issues

### Why do the "Más corto" and "Más técnico" buttons appear disabled?

They are not available yet; the button itself says so. In the meantime, edit the text directly or use **Regenerar**.

### What if I cannot save a figure?

In numeric fields, if the editor cannot read what you typed as a number, **Guardar** is disabled so your data is not lost. Correct the value and you will be able to save.

### Why does a restored answer no longer have citations?

That is expected: the citations described the generated text. If you want a cited version, use **Regenerar**.
